Visit North Korea is proud to announce a new partnership sponsoring the training kit of Teeside Football Club Redcar Athletic F.C. The club, which competes in the Northern League, revealed their new kit yesterday to their squad at a freindly with Wolivston F.C. The deal will last from the 2019-2020 season.
Once again Visit North Korea are proud to be supporting grassroots football in the North East of England, following a previous sponsorship deal with Blyth Spartans and a bid to open a Sunderland A.F.C fanbase in the DPRK itself. Recognizing the importance and passion the region places on the sport, we are confident that the deal will not only raise the profile of our organization but also generate meaningful publicity for the area. In doing so, we are honoured to be able to support towns such as Redcar.
Teeside specifically already heralds a iconic association with North Korea, with Pyongyang in the 1960s pulling off a shock 1-0 World Cup Victory against Italy at Middlesbrough’s Ayresome Park. Undoubtedly, the training kit agreement consolidates and builds upon that legacy, serving as the latest chapter in our effort to unite two very different areas of the world under the love of one sport.
